Privacy policy

Last updated August 2026. Written to be read, not to be survived.

Template, not advice. This is a working starting point that reflects how the business actually operates. Before you rely on it commercially, have it reviewed — particularly the sections on call recording and AI processing.

Who this covers

This policy applies to Beacon Labs (ABN 00 000 000 000), operating from Eastlakes, New South Wales — referred to below as "we" or "I".

What is collected

  • Enquiry details you give through a form or by email: name, business name, email, phone, website and whatever you write in the message.
  • Call information if you ring a number operated by this business: your number, the time and length of the call, and — only where you have agreed — a recording and transcript.
  • Site analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, device and referrer. Aggregate, not used to identify you personally.
  • Client project data where we work together: account access, content and business information needed to deliver the work.

Call recording and consent

New South Wales requires the consent of all parties before a private conversation is recorded (Surveillance Devices Act 2007). Any AI or human answering service operated by this business asks for that consent at the start of the call and does not record if you decline. Declining does not affect the service you receive.

Recordings and transcripts are kept only as long as needed to service the enquiry and are then deleted. You can ask for a recording of your own call to be deleted at any time.

Automated and AI-assisted processing

Some enquiries are handled or summarised by AI systems — for example an assistant that answers the phone, transcribes what you said, and produces a summary. Where that happens:

  • You are told you are speaking with an assistant, not a person.
  • A human reviews anything that leads to a decision affecting you.
  • No automated system makes a final decision about you on its own.
  • You can ask to speak to a person at any point and the call is handed over.

How the information is used

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote or service
  • To deliver and support work you've engaged me for
  • To meet tax, accounting and legal obligations

Your details are not sold, rented, or added to a marketing list you didn't ask for. If you're ever sent something commercial, it will identify the sender and carry a working unsubscribe, as the Spam Act 2003 requires.

Who else touches it

Third-party providers are used for hosting, email, analytics, telephony, calendar booking and AI processing. Each only receives what it needs. Some are located overseas, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. A current list of providers is available on request — just ask.

Security

Multi-factor authentication on every account, access restricted to what's needed, encryption in transit, and prompt deletion of data no longer required. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, affected people and the OAIC are notified as required.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email p.kuldeepsinh05@gmail.com and it will be actioned within a reasonable time, normally 30 days.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, tell me first at p.kuldeepsinh05@gmail.com — most things are fixable quickly. If you're not satisfied with the response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the business changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
